Ryan Oosting Posts Fast Mile at Adrian Martinez ClassicBy Adam Kopet Ryan Oosting ran a US#1 4:03.70 mile at the Adrian Martinez Classic Thursday. The Arlington MA senior ran in the B section of the high performance mile, finishing fifth in a race that included several professional runners. The winner of the race was Graham Crawford in 4:00.06. Oosting, who represents The Netherlands internationally as a dual U.S. and Dutch citizen, is headed to Stanford in the fall. The top section of the men's mile saw Great Britain's Charlie Da Vall Grice win in 3:54.77. In the women's 5,000 meters, Elle Purrier won in 15:08.61. That gives her the standard for the IAAF World Outdoor Championships in September and next year's Olympic Games. More news |
